(SPARK the Difference Initiative)

MMS is a certified Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) school. PBIS is an evidence based, tiered framework supporting students behavioral, academic, social and emotional well being.

MMS has implemented the program using "Spark the Difference" Expectations for all grade levels. Students are encouraged to make a difference by being Safe, Positive, an Achiever, Responsible, and Kind.

Students receive SPARK tickets to incentivize positive behavior which they, in turn, may enter into a SPARK the Difference Raffle.

We are looking for volunteers to join the PBIS committee to assist Dr. Swoger & Mr. Buchak in carrying out the program's mission and support its continued success. Specifically, we have been asked to assist with collecting prize donations for students to win when the SPARK tickets are drawn at the end of the week. Dr. Swoger has asked that we talk to our student and/or their friends to determine what kinds of prizes they would be interested in winning.  (What is "cool" these days?)
