What Does The MMS PTSO Do?
The PTSO was established as a 501(c)(3) organization in 2023 and is comprised of MMS parents and staff. It was developed with the goal of connecting parents to the school, staff, and especially our students, to provide opportunities and better support and serve their needs. The PTSO works to keep parents better informed and engage them as much as possible with information about school and PTSO events and volunteer opportunities.
In its first year, the PTSO accomplished great things, including raising the funds to provide MMS T-shirts to all students and staff for an all-school commemorative 30th anniversary photo.

To help celebrate MMS's 30th Anniversary, the PTSO also worked along side staff to decorate for and support an end-of-year school wide LipDub video in which all students participated! LipDub Video
Since then, the PTSO has continued to expand its presence and provide parents with volunteer opportunities. The PTSO has helped promote and support various staff and student run events, activities, and programs, as well as creating some of their own. These include:
- Fall Pep Rally (started by the PTSO)
- STUCO Fall Fundraiser
- Joint Middle School Night Football Tailgate (in conjunction with Carson and Ingomar Middle)
- PTSO Spirit Wear Sale
- Snapshots Slideshows (available to members only)
- Thanksgiving Food Drive
- Veteran's Day Assembly
- Longest Table
- PBIS Program
- Fall & Spring Picture Days
- 6th, 7th & 8th Grade Socials
- Tiger Shop
