MMS PTSO Executive Board Positions
President: Runs the MMS PTSO meetings; helps create meeting agendas; oversees the goals and direction of the MMS PTSO and communicates and coordinates those goals directly with the MMS administration, oversees event and activity planning and aids in the execution of those plans, works with Vice President to coordinate and assist committees
Vice President: Works with President to coordinates and assists committees; procures volunteers; helps with newsletter communications along with social media posts; and assists the President as needed with event and activity planning.
Secretary: Records meeting minutes; helps create and send communication and social media posts; and assists President and Vice President as needed.
Treasurer: Responsible for balancing the operating budget, tracking financial transactions and expenditures, writing checks, providing financial statements with actuals at PTSO meetings, and filing the appropriate tax documentation with the IRS (990EZ forms).
Technology: Maintains and updates the MMS PTSO website at mmsptso.membershiptoolkit.com; creates volunteer sign-ups and sales forms; publishes meeting minutes link; and promotes students before the beginning of each school year.
Becoming an executive Board Member is a great way to get involved and the workload and duties can be tailored to your availability. All are welcome and encouraged to get involved, and we are happy to create co-positions if more than one person is interested in the same position.
